All financial transactions on the GharCaptain platform are subject to the following terms:

• Service fees are clearly disclosed before any commitment is made.
• Payments are processed via secure, PCI-DSS compliant third-party gateways.
• GharCaptain does not store your full card or banking details.
• Project milestone payments are released to contractors upon your approval.
• Disputes must be raised within 7 days of the transaction date.

All content on the GharCaptain platform — including software, designs, logos, text, and graphics — is the exclusive property of GharCaptain and protected under Indian and international intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without express written permission.

GharCaptain serves as a marketplace connecting homeowners with service providers. To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for the quality, safety, or legality of services delivered by contractors.
• We are not responsible for delays, cost overruns, or disputes between users and professionals.
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 3 months preceding the claim.
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind.

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account at our sole discretion if you violate these Terms of Service, engage in fraudulent activity, or pose a risk to the platform or other users. You may also request account closure at any time by contacting info@gharcaptain.com.

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from the use of the GharCaptain platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Pune, Karnataka. We encourage resolving disputes amicably via our support team before pursuing legal action.

Our services are designed and targeted for users in India. If you access the platform from outside India, you do so at your own risk and are responsible for compliance with your local laws. GharCaptain makes no representation that the services are appropriate for use in other locations.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will provide at least 15 days' notice for material changes by posting the updated terms on this page and, where appropriate, notifying you by email. Your continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
